Welcome to Incarnation!

The Episcopal Church is a branch of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which is the second largest church in the world, after the Roman Catholic Church. Born as “The Church of England” in the 17th century, the church is still led by the Archbishop of Canterbury. At that time, the British government and the Anglican Communion colonized worldwide. Then, when the American Colonies separated from England in the Revolution, the Anglican Church in America became known as the Protestant Episcopal Church of the United States. The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., is an Episcopal Church. The national churches of the Anglican Communion worldwide share the Book of Common Prayer and a beautiful liturgy. Often described as the “Via Media,” Anglican theology balances both Word and Sacrament. Thus, couples who come from different faith traditions often find the Episcopal Church to be a “middle way” for them.

With great history, breadth, and depth, we also offer a warm community and many opportunities for lively and joyful spiritual growth. We are a community of faith that is grounded in God's love and in His Word and Sacraments.  Jesus longs for us to: "Love one another. As I have loved you, so must you love one another."  and He says this "So that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete." (John 13:34 and 15:11)  Knowing that we are God's beloved and forgiven by His grace, we are filled with His indwelling Holy Spirit, and His love, light, and life overflow to others in need. Incarnating, or embodying Christ, and serving Christ in others, is fundamental to who we are.

At Incarnation, we deeply believe that we grow and learn from each other in community.  In Christ, each one of us has unique personalities and gifts of the Holy Spirit to share with one another.  We are excited that you are here, and hope you will come discover your gifts, purpose, and meaning in life.  Please join us for fellowship, love, prayer, study, and outreach. We offer Christian Formation for all ages.

Incarnation is an exciting place, deeply connected to and active in the larger community.  You will find what you seek in all the opportunities for prayer, study, fellowship and outreach.  We offer an energetic youth program. Our outstanding children’s Christian Education program, Godly Play, happens during the first half of worship at 10:30 in the Parish Hall. Teachers then bring students in to worship with their families.  Sunday mornings begin with Adult Christian Education at 9:15 am in the parish hall, followed by a friendly coffee hour at 10 and church at 10:30 am. During the week, you will find ample opportunities to connect and to grow in your relationship with the Lord and with each other. And we love fun fellowship events, like our Annual Pancake Supper!
